FEAST and FELLOWSHIP - Fall is right around the corner and sign-ups begin today for Feast and Fellowship 2010-2011.  This is an opportunity for groups of 8 or 9 to gather for a meal four times during the year. Meals are commonly held in a group member's home with others in the group providing side dishes. It’s a great way to become better acquainted with other church members in a casual setting. See Rebecca Neas in the entryway today or call 744-8576 for more information.

THE CHURCH OFFICE will be closed Monday, September 5 for the Labor Day holiday.

Teams rotate months of service, so you don’t need to serve every month. Set up is done on Saturday and takes approximately an hour. Clean up is done after the last service, and it takes approximately 30 minutes to take all the elements from the sanctuary, wash the vessels and put them away. Training is provided. HELP THE PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN RECOVER FROM HISTORIC FLOODS - Heavy monsoon rains have caused severe damage in Pakistan. Both the United Methodist Church and the Presbyterian Church USA are providing resources needed to assist with immediate emergency needs. If you would like to support our denominational efforts related to this disaster, simply make your check payable to the Brandermill Church, with “Pakistan Disaster” noted on the memo line. Donations made through the Brandermill Church will be divided equally, with half flowing to the Pakistan relief efforts of the United Methodist Church (Advance #982450) , and half to the Presbyterian Church USA’s relief response in Pakistan (Designated Giving Account DR000038).

GILPIN COURT CLOTHING DRIVE - The response to our previous clothing drive was terrific! Now, as cooler weather and school approaches, we have the opportunity to once again support this largest low income neighborhood in Richmond. Please leave clothes you wish to donate in bags (marked Gilpin Court)  behind the piano in the Fellowship Hall. We will collect clothes until      September 8. If you have questions, please contact Don Reich at 639-4341.

CONSIGNMENT SALE - September 25 from 8 a.m. to 11a.m. at the church. Donate your gently used fall and winter childrens’ clothes, books, toys, videos, games, baby equipment and nursery items. Wire hangers are also needed. Please leave in the Fellowship Hall by September 20 and mark with “BCCS.”  Proceeds from donated items benefit our Outreach Missions. Gift Certificates are available to buy in $5, $10 and $20 denominations. They make great gifts for expecting mothers, grandparents, daycare providers, children’s birthdays or baby showers.
