Adult Ministries
Mission statement:
With God as our focus, we are bound together as a community of faith by our loving service to God, to the church and to one another. We will encourage Christian relationships in which we are strengthened through fellowship and prayer and spiritually fed by His Word. For more info, contact Dolly Pakurar at apak00@comcast.net
The Men’s Breakfast
Start your Saturdays with a delicious breakfast, good conversation and interesting guest speakers. This is a multi-generational group that meets 8-9:30 a.m. on the second Saturday of every month, October through April. For more info, contact Horst Arfert at 744-2553 or harfert@verizon.net.
Choirs
We are always looking for enthusiastic singers and congregants with an interest in music. Join our song leaders for the 9:45 a.m. service or the adult choir at the 11 a.m. service. Our Bell Choir performs at special services throughout the year. Click here for more info.
Semi Circle
This circle of friends meets in the evening on the third Monday of each month in the homes of its members. Our focus is faith through devotionals, fellowship, informal programs and service. Service projects include CARITAS, the Christmas Mother program, the Chesterfield Volunteer Association, Habitat for Humanity, Brandermill Woods and the Lucy Corr Nursing Home. We provide support and friendship for Kettlande Pierre, our sponsored child in Haiti. Come join us! Contact Karen Catlett at 744-2669.
MOPS
(Mothers of Preschoolers) meets twice monthly on Friday mornings during the school year for fellowship, speakers, crafts and fun. A childcare program is provided. Please contact Laura Worrel at 594-2744 or lauramworrel@yahoo.com for membership inquiries.
Lena Bartges Circle
This circle meets at 1:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month, September through May. The meeting includes a business segment, Bible study, fellowship and refreshments. An offering is collected each month to support the Salvation Army and various other causes. The circle is named for Lena Bartges, the wife of the founding pastor of The Brandermill Church. Join us for The Brandermill Church Caring for Creation Challenge. In 2008, have you resolved to eat healthier, exercise, do more in the community, or go back to school? Our Caring for Creation Committee would like to suggest an additional resolution – pledge your commitment to creating less waste, less carbon emissions, consuming less stuff.
The C4C Committee is offering an opportunity for congregants to pledge their commitment to “creating less” of a negative impact on God’s creation. After all, it’s the least we can do. For more information contact Nan Johnson 276-6563 or Mary Kathryn Van Eerden 744-8402.
